What a week!!

Things certainly have been busy in the Boyd household lately... Wednesday Jack made his first trip to the Lexington Airport to pick up his Great Great Aunt Juanita! Short term parking was a breeze - and believe it or not the flight was EARLY so we were in and out in no time! We dropped Juanita at Mary and Tim's for a rest then back home for a nap of our own because we had big plans for dinner that night. Pizza at the Mellow Mushroom with Grandma, Mary, Tim, Aunt Juanita, Uncle Ben, and Pat! Unfortunately Daddy was in Michigan and couldn't make it.
Friday was another exciting day! Jack got to meet Christy and Jake! They drove all the way down from Pennsylvania just to meet him... Okay, they were really down for Christy's sister's wedding shower, but Jack doesn't have to know that!! Jack was so excited about their arrival that he got so tuckered out he slept right through lunch! It was great getting to see them and catch up on everything! We're looking forward to when they come back down in June for the big wedding!!
Saturday marked Jack's first (of many I'm sure) trips out to Keeneland. Things started out great - it was a beautiful day we were up in the Phoenix room so we had a place to put our things and weren't too crowded, but then Jack got sleepy... there just isn't enough time between those races I tell you!! Every time the poor guy fell asleep another race would go off and the place would go wild with yelling and cheering and he'd wake back up. We made it through about four or five races, but then had to get home and get the boy a descent nap! Maybe by the next meet he'll either be a sounder sleeper or won't require a long afternoon nap for a pleasant day!
Sunday was a little more low-key. Nan and Poppi stopped by to say hello on their way home from church, which is always lovely! We had one more dinner at Grandma's to visit with Aunt Juanita and Pat before they head back to Iowa and Washington and that about did it for us! This week we have nothing on tap (thank goodness!!). We're just going to recover from our busy weekend and attempt to get Jack to realize that napping during the day is a good thing again!
