The Polar Bear Plunge!
Last weekend was the much anticipated Polar Bear Plunge! The temps were in the low 40's and the water temp was in the 30's I believe - thankfully I didn't have to test that! John took one for the team (Speical Olympics) and was the ONLY person out of over three hundred jumpers to jump solo! We were so proud of him and thank you so much to everyone who made a contribution to such a great cause! The rest of that weekend was spent relaxing and taking it easy. Jack got his first big boy haircut! It took a little getting used to, but it's so cute! He just looks like such a big guy now... we did it with the clippers in the bath tub (no water in the tub of course!) and now it's all uniform and the same length - our little guy is growing up so quickly!
Last week was cold and quiet... we went to storytime and music and that was about it for our activities. We got a big snow (by KY standards) on Friday and Jack had SO much fun playing in it. We of course spent more time getting ready to go out in the snow than we spent playing in it, but it was fun just the same! Once Jack figured out he could eat the snow we had to call it a day pretty quickly... he was just freezing his poor little face shoving handful after handful into his mouth! Check the photo site for more pictures!
