Good thing I brought the camera the first day... We enrolled Jack in swimming lessons, but about five minutes after this picture was taken Jack decided that he did not want to participate anymore and that he would just watch so when he did the same thing at the next lesson without even getting into the water we canceled the classes. He's not afraid of the water by any means - he LOVES the water - I think he just didn't like the structure of the class or something...

John and Jack were trimming some branches off the trees in the back yard and Jack was having a BLAST helping put the branches in a big pile. He is SUCH a hard worker!! I hope he's this enthusiastic about yard work in his teens...

Some sad news to report. Our dog Jasmine passed away May 3rd. She apparently had cancer and there was no hope of survival. She was such a sweet dog and Jack misses her so much. He just doesn't understand that she's not coming back so it's been a hard couple of weeks adjusting to life without her.
