A Relaxing Weekend!!
This weekend was great! It was so laid back and relaxing... Friday night we decided to go out for some Chinese food so we went to the little place across the street and had a lovely meal - if Jack ever turns up missing our first suspect is going to be our waitress though!! She was obsessed with the little one! Needless to say we had VERY attentive service so that she could keep coming over to our table to flirt with our little boy - I supposed he'd better get used that, he's going to be quite the lady's man! Sat. we got up early and attempted to find a few bargains at some garage sales, but I suppose it's a little early in the season for the good stuff - it was also hard on Jack to keep getting in and out of the car so we called it a day and went to the store for our weekly shopping. We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing at home and that evening we had our friends from storytime Julie Joe and Will over for dinner! It was a great evening! At first Will was a little unsure about being at our place, but by the end of the evening he was having a great time! We're excited that he's going to come over again on Thursday while his parents have a date night! Jack loves watching Will play - he thinks he's the coolest kid he's ever seen! Sunday was spent sleeping in! We hadn't realized just how much The Boyd Family needed sleep until Mr. Jack set the tone for the day - he stayed up until about ten thirty on Sat. night and slept until almost SEVEN! He had a quick breakfast and then went BACK to bed until almost TEN! We slept right along with him - it was wonderful! We spent what little there was left of the morning lounging around the house and then made a trip out to the mall to get Jack a hat. It was a successful trip (you can see pictures of the new hat at the photo site). It was a quick trip to the mall and then home again for some more relaxing. Grandma stopped by to say hello and get her Jack fix and that about did it for the weekend! Not much on tap for the week! Jack got to spend the morning at the auto-shop this morning while they took FOREVER to diagnose why the airbag light was on in the Forester (the driver's side airbag is broken and is being fixed tomorrow morning!) and that was our activity for the day. Storytime is on hiatus for the month of May so we'll do yoga on Wed. and that's about it for our plans! I think John gets to stay in town all week (HOORAY) so that's a nice bonus! Jack will experience his first Derby Party on Sat. so we'll have all the exciting details from that next week! He's getting even closer to rolling over - check out the photo site for his latest attempt - he's SOOOOO close!!!
