So sorry for the delay in posting - it seems we were missing hours in the day long before Daylight Saving's Time started.... A quick re-cap of the events of the last couple of weeks is in order I think. First off, we had a REAL emergency visit to the dentist for Mr. Jack. He was chasing a little Easter Egg around the house and bent to pick it up and WHACK - smacked his poor little mouth right into the windowsill. His lips were fine, but there was a LOT of blood coming out around his teeth so I made the panicked call to the pediatrician who then referred me to the dentist... Dr. John saved the day!! He was able to see us right away and said that there was a lot of soft tissue damage around the teeth, but the teeth themselves seemed fine! Hooray! I of course had visions of Jack being toothless until his adult teeth came in, but thankfully the teeth are okay! Of course all this happens while John was at work so I officially handled my first solo emergency! So, after that Jack got a nasty bout of the stomach flu - he was better off than the majority of his buddies, but still... he was down for several days with just no appetite and LOTS of poop!! So, we've had a mouth injury, a stomach virus and LOTS of birthday parties! First up was Jack's good buddy Parker! He had a cowboy themed birthday and it was SO much fun... Oh, and Parker's mommy must be a better baker than me because Jack ate Parker's b-day cake!!! Then we had Aiden's B-day at Chuck E Cheese... what a place! Jack wasn't too sure what to think about all the big kids running around like crazy, but did have a good time in the toddler area with his Nan. Then there was Annabelle's b-day! She had a picnic party and it was so much fun! I think that pretty much brings us up to date on all the goings on in the Boyd Household... Jack's getting more and more words every week! The latest is "uh-oh." He LOVES to say it... about everything! Drops Montey - "uh-oh." Throws his spoon on the floor from the dinner table - "uh-oh." Funny little guy! He's FINALLY said Mommy and has added spoon, cracker, bubble, cup, woof woof, and cheese to the list! Not much excitement planned for the near future - check the photo site for some updated photos!!
