Beach = No Fear!

Once again sorry for the delay in posting... you'd think I spent my days chasing after a one year old or something... we've had a busy couple of weeks, but have been having so much fun! Please check the photosite for a TON of pictures showing just what we've been up to! Before I go into details about our vacation I've got to mention our "trip" out to Ike and Susan's Farm - or Camp Ike. Jack had SOOO much fun exploring and chasing all the animals... we've got some really funny video of him chasing chickens around - if you can receive large files let me know and I'll forward them on!
Okay - onto the beach!! Jack had a GREAT time on vacation... he loved the sand and the ocean and had absolutely NO FEAR of either. He loved heading out to the little "tide islands" (not sure what they would really be called) and chasing all the birds... he had a great time discovering shells, hermit crabs, conchs, starfish, clams, and sharks! Yes, that's right - SHARKS!! Two days in a row we had shark sitings - they weren't huge, maybe about three feet long, but they were definitely sharks! John took him out into the water (yes, I was nervous as hell) and they got to see them up close and personal!!!
We did more than just the beach on our vacation... we went to the SC aquarium, which Jack LOVED - he's all about fish!! We also went to the Children's Museum which I think was the hit of the trip for Jack. He had so much fun there! We had a big first on vacation - since Mom, Mary, Julia and Bianca were there the same week Jack got to spend the night with the "Mimi's" giving John and me our first night away from the little man (well, my first night - obviously John has been away due to his work travels)... he did great and we all survived! Jack was a susperstar on the ten hour drive home and is SO happy to be back. We had a great time, but I think we all came home with an appreciation of home...
