The training wheels are off!!!!

Big news in the Boyd Household!! The training wheels are off! Yes, that's right - our dear sweet little four (and a half as he so likes to point out) year old boy is now ZOOMING around the neighborhood on only two wheels... a terrifying site to behold! It is AMAZING how fast he can go - shocking!! He of course loves it and finds it hilarious that neither John or I can keep up with him (unless we're on a bike) so good times... keep posted for the surely soon to be coming update about our second trip to the ER. See below for some video of the first afternoon of just two wheels... this was when he was still somewhat timid about it - I'll get an updated video of the Master of the Bike tooling around the track at the park soon!

In other news we had some very special visitors over the last week or so! First was Cousins Betsy and Micki! We were so happy that the would come all the way from Virginia to visit with us!! We had such a great time with them - touring Old KY Candy's factory was a big highlight for Jack. His comment on there being NO oompa loompas was quite hilarious to me. I suppose after having read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory so many times his idea of what a candy factory should be like was quite different than the reality of the situation. Although when the samples were handed out at the end he was quite happy! We had several family dinners which was so fantastic and got lots of great time to spend together! We can't wait to see them again!!

Next came my cousin Melissa and her two boys! Jack was in heaven having a live in playmate for three nights!! We had a great time going to story time and the pool and Uncle Ben managed to come down for lunch and a quick trip to the mall - its was a fantastic visit!

One last piece of news - Sarah is a graduate. She officially passed her beginner obedience class and is ready for the next level. We were so proud when she passed the exam and got her diploma!
