A lot of Celebrations!

We had a wonderful week! Jack got to use the Jumperoo for the first time and he LOVES it! He gets so excited jumping around (using one foot at a time like he's marching) and making a bunch of noise! We've definitely got a BOY on our hands!!
Thursday was a very exciting day for Mr. Jack. He not only got to go to the University to visit Poppy at the office (with the added bonus of meeting Dr. Todd!!) he got to see Poppy twice in one day because that evening was Emma's 7th birthday! Her party was at Grater's and Jack had a great time sitting in the big boy high chair watching her open her presents and everyone else eating their ice cream!
We think that Jack may be teething as he didn't have a great weekend. Friday he didn't want to eat much and was just not his normal happy self. We put a call in to the nurse line at the pediatrician's office and the nurse agreed his symptoms sounded like teething so her recommendation was to give him tylenol and keep an eye on him. The tylenol seems to help - along with ANYTHING he can get into his mouth and chew on - so it will be interesting to see if it's just a fluke or if we have a little tooth pop up soon!
We've started a bedtime routine with Jack and it's working out well so far! It's bath time, nursing, then off to bed at around eight... tonight marks the week anniversary of our efforts and he's pretty much been to bed around eight so far so we think we've found a winner! He's sleeping better (not getting up as frequently) and it is nice to have a little Mommy and Daddy time in the evenings, while still having time for John to get to see the Wee One before he's off to bed!
Mother's Day was wonderful! Jack is such a thoughtful little guy! He worked so hard on my gift, a wonderful cookbook by my new favorite chef (Giada De Lourentes) with a very special surprise inside - a tiny red footprint and a wonderful little note wishing me a happy 1st Mother's Day! The flowers were gorgeous too! I'm not sure what they're called, but they are the prettiest reds and oranges! We got to see all the mothers in the family too which was great! We had Mom, Ben, Carole and Doug, Kathie Tom Emma and Aiden all over for brunch! It was a fantastic time and so nice getting everyone all together at once!
We've got a relaxing week planned so far - had a play date and lunch with Will and Julie this morning which was so much fun! Jack's four month b-day is on Friday and he's got his check up (with shots) next Monday so check back for all the latest stats. My guess is height 26 inches, weight 14 lbs 11oz.... we'll see how close I am in a week!
