4 Month Check Up!

Jack had his four month check up this morning... He's a happy (now that the shots are over with) healthy little guy! He's 25 and 3/4 inches tall and weighs in at a whopping 16lbs 12.2oz! The latest stats put him in the 75th percentile on the growth charts so he's no longer "off the charts"! Everything checked out just beautifully and the Dr. was very impressed with his progress! We talked about Jack's interest in food and got the go ahead to try solids whenever we're ready! I think his first go may be tonight when we're eating dinner! I can't wait to see his reaction when he gets to eat too! Nothing else really interesting to report from the dr. visit - pretty routine... we go back on July 21st for his six month check up.
Jack went on road trip #2 this weekend. This time it was up to Cincy to meet Andy, Jeni and Drew at the zoo! Jack had such a wonderful time. The picture below is Jack planning out his day at the zoo. His favorite was the manatee exhibit. He was watching one of them twirl around in the water eating it's lettuce in wide-eyed wonderment when suddenly another one swam into his view and his eyes got even bigger (which is hard to believe considering how huge they already were) and went OOOOHHHHH and smiled! He wasn't too interested in the other animals, but they were a little far away - we're convinced he thought we were all just staring at a giant rock when we were looking at the rhinos! It was a great trip and even after taking a nap at the zoo he did well on the car ride home. There was a little fussiness at first, but we stopped for some ice cream and let him stretch out for a bit and the rest of the ride home was a breeze!
Sunday we had the celebration of the last day of Tim being 59... Jack had so much fun watching everyone play cornhole! He was very interested in the tossing technique... (Happy Birthday Timmer!!)
Not much on tap for this week - we're just looking forward to the three day weekend and the opening of the public pools! We didn't take many pictures last week so no updates on the photo site... sorry!
