Roly Poly!

What a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! We got up on Sat. morning and guess what Jack did! He ROLLED OVER and Daddy was home to witness the glorious first roll. Hooray! As John likes to say it was even more special because it was a determined roll - he really wanted to get off his stomach and onto his back - it wasn't just an accidental roll where he just leaned too far up and fell over! Now that he's done it having bellytime has become a whole new challenge because now that's ALL he wants to do! He's still SO close to going from his back to his stomach, but can't quite get over that arm - he'll do it soon though!

Sat. also marked Jack's first trip to the public pool!

He was a little unsure about the giant COLD bath tub at first, but he seemed resigned to his fate pretty quickly! As with everything in Jack's life the first few times were VERY serious and not about fun at all, but on his fourth trip yesterday he decided that maybe the pool WAS fun after all and smiled a few times while in the water.

We had a cookout at Carole and Doug's on Sat. and the entire Goldsby Clan made it too - it was great getting everyone together and for Poppy to be able to show off his grilling skills on the new Aussie!

Sunday Jack had his first babysitter (Grandma) while John and I had a lovely lunch out. Jack did great and I doubt he even noticed we were gone!
