15 Month Check Up

Time for some bragging!! Jack had his 15 month check up today. The latest stats are: Height, 32 and 3/4 inches (up from 30 and 3/4 inches in Jan.). Weight, 23lbs 14oz (up from 23lbs 6oz in Jan.). The latest measurements put him back in the 90th percentile in height and drop him to the 40th percentile in weight, but the dr. said he's perfectly normal and looks like he's going to take after his Daddy and be tall and lean so no reason to worry! He WOWED the Dr. with his vocabulary and said at least 8 words that even the dr. understood as he was explaining to me the "average" 15 month old has 3-6 words that just the parents can understand... so, he's "quite impressive verbally" according to Dr. Straub. Okay, okay enough bragging about our wonderful little man... just had to get the latest stats out there! Easter

Jack had a fantastic Easter! He practiced all week hunting eggs at home and when the big event came he was ready! He did a great job! Once he discovered there were Goldfish inside he slowed down a bit because he wanted to eat all the goldfish before searching for the next one, but he had a great time! His cousins were such a great help too - Emma and Aiden had no problem showing him where "his" eggs were as they weren't interested in getting Cheerios or Goldfish anyway! It was so nice getting all the family together!
Not much else to report - with this cold weather we've been laying low and staying indoors. We did have a special treat on Sat. when Leah came over to visit! Jack had such a great time playing with her and of course subjected her to the mandatory belly button search (so far everyone has had one) so it was a great morning! Not much on tap for us... we're hoping to take a trip up to the zoo soon, but we need it to warm up a bit! Speaking of Cincinnati - just want to say a BIG congratulations to Andy and Jen on their exciting news!! Can't wait to meet the newest Price! Check the photo site for some updated pictures!

Spring Break!

Not much new to report from the Boyd Household... we've just been keeping busy and enjoying all this wonderful spring weather! Jack LOVES going for a ride in his bike cart, but nothing beats walking around the neighborhood in his new wagon! We've learned that if we decide to put him in the wagon we'd better be ready to walk and walk and walk - he's not a fan of getting OUT of the wagon! The weather has been so nice lately he's even been to the back porch pool of his good buddy Andrew!
We went to visit his friend Will (and his new little sister Lauren) last week and Jack had such a good time playing with all of Will's toys - especially the train table! Jack had to miss the egg hunt on Sat. because John and I went to Cincinnati and got a new (to us) car!! We're quite excited about our new Pilot and are LOVING all the room we have for all of Jack's things!
We've got pretty low-key Easter plans. Dinner will be at Grandma's house and the other Boyds and Goldsby's will be there too! Jack is SO looking forward to hunting for eggs with his cousins! He's been practicing putting things in his basket all week!
