Easter
Sad news to report. Jack's dear friend, Longfellow, passed just before Easter. Jack took it very hard - this was his first real experience with understanding loss. It was the first time that John and I felt truly helpless as parents. Having a funeral and having Jack paint a beautiful grave marker helped Jack cope and things seem to be back to normal. Jack still misses his friend and talks about getting a replacement, but we're holding off a bit before deciding what to get next.
In other news - Charlie got a haircut!! She looks like such a big girl! I cut her hair myself so it turned out to be SLIGHTLY shorter than I had planned due to taking a few extra snips to get it even, but it looks so cute!
Other Charlie news - she is just such a big girl now - she is potty trained! Almost. Since Friday we have only done diapers at naptime and bedtime and have made the leap to big girl pants! She is doing great!! Only a few accidents and (knock on wood) so far they have all been at home!
We had a great Easter - Charlie was more interested in opening the eggs as she found them instead of finding a lot of them and Jack of course was on the hunt to get as many eggs as he possibly could!!
Jack loves T-ball so much!! He is enjoying this season so much! If only it would stop raining so we could get back to a normal practice and game schedule!!
Check the photo site for a bunch of updated pictures and of course here are some videos of what we've been up to lately! Enjoy!
