Sharing is so much fun!

Over the Memorial Day Holiday Jack learned all about sharing - and how hurtful it can be if someone refuses to share! We spent a lot of time at the pool where all the parents bring a bunch of toys and all the kids play with all the toys, well at least MOST of the toys... Jack had his first run-in with a really nasty little boy. This little boy had brought a watering can to the pool which Jack thought was just fantastic, but the little boy didn't want Jack to play with it - he wasn't going to play with it, but neither was Jack... long story short, it was way too close to nap time and after getting the toy taken away the only way to calm the tears was to leave. I felt so bad for the little guy - all he wanted to do was play, but it was a good lesson in sharing and how awful it feels if someone doesn't want to! So now Jack is all about sharing and LOVES to share with the dogs - he just laughed and laughed over them enjoying his milkshake!

We stuck pretty close to home over the weekend. We had Jack's playgroup friends (and parents) over for a cookout on Sunday and had such a good time letting the guys loose on the back porch to play with the water table! Everyone was soaked from head to toe! Not much else to report from our end... just preparing to take the Wee One to the beach in a few weeks - can't wait to see his reaction to the ocean!!

Updated Information!

Hello Again... sorry it's been so long since I've updated the blog - we had a total computer meltdown a few weeks ago and are just now up and running again! Thank goodness for external hard drives and scheduled back-ups! WHEW!

We have certainly been keeping busy... Jack had a fantastic time at the zoo and was SO excited to see a real live Montey (giraffe) and loved seeing the elephants too! He is Mr. Outdoors... if it can't be done outside there's is no sense in doing it in his opinion... he loves helping John wash the car and we've got a little water table set up on the back porch that he loves to play with! Of course we still go on our wagon rides up to the park and he loves playing in the back yard... we pretty much spend from the time he wakes up from his nap until he goes to bed outside!

We made a trip up to visit the Great Grandparents and had a fantastic time! Jack loved taking all his toys to Grandpa and showing him all his things! He did great in the car thanks to his uncles keeping him highly entertained. John unfortunately couldn't make the trip due to some business travels, but Ben and Josh superstars on the long drive!

Jack is picking up more and more words... he now says please and thank you and makes ALL the animals sounds... my personal favorites are the rooster and pig, but they're all adorable! I suppose it's been so long since I last posted there have just been too many things going on to cover all of them so I'll close for now and do a better job of keeping things updated from now on!!
