Caterpillars/100th Post!!

Not much in the way of news to report other than the three new family members to the Boyd Household! We have adopted three Black Swallowtail Caterpillars/Butterflies from our back yard and have had the best time watching them grow and eat! Two have now formed a chrysalis and the other is well on his way to getting pleasantly plump enough to do so too! We can't wait for them to turn into butterflies and to release them back outside!

Jack is so interested in them and is having a blast telling everyone he can about them so we made this video yesterday to put on the blog so everyone could learn all about his caterpillars!

Here are a few other pictures of his friends - all named (by Jack) Caterpillar Arrington Boyd.

In other news it's definitely apple season so this weekend we went out to the orchard and picked some apples to make our first apple pie of the season! It was so much fun!! Enjoy the pics!

Pulling VERY hard to get the apples off!

Exciting News!!

Okay, so maybe we HAVE had an excuse for the lack in posts lately...

Yes, as you can see from the above picture Jack is going to be a BIG BROTHER!! We are very excited for the newest Boyd to arrive - due date March 24th - and can't wait to find out if Jack is having a brother or a sister!! Things have been going well - I've been a little "under the weather" lately, but hopefully as we're leaving our first trimester the sickness will be on it's way out too! Jack says he "must" have a baby to share with Mommy and Daddy and it changes daily as to if that baby is going to be a brother or sister, but we don't think he really understands that there is a baby in mommy's belly - at least not yet anyway! So, that is our exciting news! We'll keep you posted on any updates as we get them!

In other news we've not been up to a lot - our pool has closed for the season and to take the place of all the time spent at the pool we've gotten Jack a T-ball set! It's so cute to watch him swing and he's actually getting pretty good!!

We took a trip up to Ohio to visit Great Grandma and Great Grandpa and Jack had a great time! He perfected his somersault in their living room and refused to play his harmonica so all in all he put on a pretty good 2yr old performance! We spent the night at my cousin's (or Zach's house as Jack likes to say) and Jack had a blast playing with all Zach's tractors and toys and getting to sleep in Zach's room... it's pretty much been "Zach this" and "Zach that" since we got home!! The highlight though was Jack's (and John's surprisingly) first campfire/marshmellow roast! It was so much fun!!!

Check out the photosite for a bunch of new pictures!

Here are some videos of what Jack's been up to!

Washing cars with Daddy.

Of course his car needed to be washed too...
