18 Month Check Up.

Just a quick post today to let you know Jack had his 18 Month Check Up this morning and once again he's the picture of health! Okay - the latest stats: Height: 34 inches (up from 32 3/4 inches at 15 months) Weight: 24lbs 5.5oz (up from 23lbs 14oz at 15 months). The latest figures put him in the 90th and 25th percentiles so he's still on track to being tall and lean! It was a great visit - he needed to get a shot and surprisingly he didn't cry! I almost cried because he didn't cry, but he just kind of winced a little and that was it! I think the key was that this time he was able to see what was happening so it wasn't so shocking - plus he got a really cool yellow band-aide so that never hurts... So, he had a good check up and our next well visit will be his two year check up - hard to believe that's only six months away! After our appt. we got his 18 month picture taken... once we get Nan to scan/e-mail it to me I'll post it - he was wearing his favorite shirt so I think it turned out really cute!

Catching up - AGAIN...

It seems there aren't as many hours in the day as there used to be... sorry once again for the delay in posting. We've been keeping busy - not much excitement, but busy none-the-less. First - we've had to change the on-line photosite - the old website is no longer so it's now at Shutterfly.com the link to the left will take you there, it is a password protected site though - just enter "wiggum" and you'll get access to the pictures!
Speaking of Wiggum... we had to make a very sad family decision and unfortunately the time had come to put Wiggum to sleep. It was a heartbreaking decision, but in the end it is what was best for everyone involved - including him.
Okay... let's see what have we been up to lately? Many trips to the Farmer's Market and lots of time at the pool! John and I celebrated our 7th anniversary (with Jack) yesterday with a trip to Alfalfa's and some time spent playing in the fountains in front of the court house. (Don't worry - we had a private celebration the night before.)
Other than that not much to report! The picture above was taken yesterday - Jack's having a heck of a time with some new teeth coming in and fell asleep while we were walking around Target yesterday... so cute! Check out the photo site for some updated pictures...

Happy 4th of July!

Jack had a great time celebrating the holiday - he started the morning out by getting to wake up with Nan in the house while John and I ran the Bluegrass 10K!! He had a great time playing with Nan!! After the race we went home and picked the boy up to go back downtown for all the festivities! Jack had a BLAST people watching and as evidenced by the picture there was a large variety of people to watch! There was a petting zoo downtown too and Jack had a great time seeing all the animals! After finishing out the morning downtown we headed home for a nap before heading out to a friends for a bbq! It was so much fun getting all the kids together to play (and the daddies too!).
Not too much else going on with us - we've been keeping busy around town and mainly staying out of trouble! Jack got to meet his second cousin (or first cousin once removed - I never know, it was my cousin's little boy) Luke a few weeks ago. He got to spend the night and Jack thought that was just fantastic! He loved having another little person here when he woke up in the morning! He's figured out that other people have Mamma's and that I'm not the only one. It was pretty cute seeing the light bulb go on with that one! Not much else to report... check the photosite for some updated pictures!
