Big weekend!!

While John has been away the kids and I have been busy! Josh brought down a golf cart which has been the source of great entertainment!! Whenever anyone gets squirly - let's got sit in the golf cart!! It's much fun!!

Jack also got to stay for his first extended day at school - that's when he gets to stay late and bring his lunch! He was so excited and had such a great time!! Check out the photo site for a picture of his first packed lunch of the year!!

But, the really big news is that this weekend we went to Indianapolis for the weekend with Grandma and Meam! We had such a wonderful time! After school on Friday we packed up and hit the road and had a fantastic meal at Meam's in-laws! It was so nice having a huge backyard for the kids to run around in and not having to worry about taking them to a restaurant! Thank you again Nate and Susan for your hospitality!! Sat. we woke up and headed to the Children's Museum! It was SO much fun!! Jack and Charlie had a blast! So did the grownups!! There were so many things to do I can't go into it all on this post, but check the photo site for a TON of pictures! After our BIG day at the museum we took it easy Sat. night and ordered pizza and stayed in. Sunday we woke up and took a slight detour over to see Great Gma and had a great visit with her then had lunch with Tick and Zach and then made our way home! It was a great weekend!!

Today Charlie had her 18mth check up! She is the picture of health!

The latest stats are:

Height: 31 1/2 in. (46th percentile)

Weight: 22lbs (18th percentile)

and her head is in the 49th percentile.

She impressed Dr. Wilson with her LARGE vocabulary - went on and on about dogs and ducks and hello daddy (she was talking on my phone) and knew all her body parts and Dr. Wilson was REALLY impressed when right as she was coming in Charlie said pee pee and went to the bathroom (with a dry diaper from this morning). So, she's right on track and ahead of the game in some respects.

We had a fantastic end of the summer - the kids had a blast at the pool and the park and we even took a quick trip up to visit Josh and Ben at the farm. Such fun - Jack has found his calling. Mucking stalls is definitely for him!!

Jack has started his last year of preschool. We are so excited that he's back with his teacher and friends from last year at SHELL. We're looking forward to a great year and he's already off to an exciting start! It's hard to believe he's going five days a week now, but he loves every minute of it. Charlie is adjusting well - the first morning she walked around the house calling "Jack" "Jack" but by the third morning she realized she had undivided attention (something she's never had before) and has quite enjoyed taking Jack to school!
